BeCast
Our BeCast technology has been built to support many features. The following feature set is available in any of our clients.
- Fast stream startup - Our fast start technology removes the buffering wait usually involved with online streaming. Other distributed streaming technologies require long stream startup and switch times.
- Supports multiple formats - BeCast is content agnostic, and does not require a particular transport or codec to operate.
Currently we support MMS and ICY transports, popular for video and music streaming. You can let customers choose their favorite player, such as:
- Winamp Media Player 5.00+
- Windows Media Player 10.00+
- VLC media player 0.8+
- Integrated Connection Testing - Automatically tests network bandwidth available to the client. This reduces technical knowledge required to enhance experience based on bandwidth.
- Integrated UPnP Configuration - Automatically configures UPnP capable routers to allow BeCast access to the internet.
- NAT Router Traversal - Our traversal technology can negotiate connections between most home routers.
- Skinning and co-branding - BeCast's advanced skinning abilities allow branded players to match a corporate identity. Anything visible on the interface has configuration options that can be included in a skin file. Branding the client can be performed when a user installs a branded player or a seperate skin.
